Galería Herrero de Tejada is a contemporary art gallery based in Madrid, founded in 2015. Located in the Barrio de Salamanca, the gallery focuses on supporting emerging and mid-career artists, with a particular emphasis on painting and contemporary visual practices.

Since its founding, the gallery has developed a dynamic exhibition programme featuring both Spanish and international artists, combining solo and group exhibitions that explore diverse approaches to contemporary painting and image-making.

Galería Herrero de Tejada regularly participates in international art fairs and collaborates with artists, curators, and collectors to promote new voices in contemporary art.

Through its programme, the gallery aims to create a dialogue between artists and audiences while contributing to the vitality of Madrid’s contemporary art scene.

Erasmus Internship Opportunity – Contemporary Art Gallery in Madrid

Galería Herrero de Tejada is a contemporary art gallery focused on emerging and midncareer
artists. We are looking for Erasmus+ interns interested in contemporary art, gallery management,
photography, social media and audiovisual documentation.

Tasks:

  • Assist in exhibition preparation
  • Artwork documentation (photo/video)

  • Research on artists and exhibitions
  • Support during gallery openings and events

What we offer:

Herrero de Tejada Gallery offers an Erasmus+ internship in a contemporary art gallery in Madrid. The intern will gain practical experience in the daily operations of a professional gallery, including:

Assistance with exhibitions and installations
Support during openings and gallery events
Communication with artists and visitors
Help with social media and online content
Basic gallery administration and organization
Insight into the contemporary art market and gallery management

Please note that this internship is unpaid. Students are expected to receive financial support through the Erasmus+ traineeship grant from their home university.
